Tax Day freebies 2022: Free food, more deals you can get today

Whether you’re owe the IRS or are getting a refund, everyone can get some freebies on Tax Day 2022.

Monday, April 18, is the deadline for filing your taxes, and businesses are offering relief in the form of free food, discounts and other deals today. Proof you’ve submitted your taxes is not required, so no worries if you needed to file an extension.

Here’s the list of Tax Day freebies:

7-Eleven – Get any whole pizza, including 7-Meat, Cheese and Pepperoni, for $5 with the 7NOW delivery program through May 24. Limit one $5 pizza per order.

Cheesecake Factory – The Cheesecake Factory is offering $10 off $50 through April 21 when you use promotion code CAKE10 at checkout on the restaurant website or through DoorDash.

Domino’s – Get a $3 “tip” when you make a carryout order of $5 or more online now through May 22. Coupon code only available if you pick up order yourself.

Dunkin ‘Donuts – DD Perks members can get a $3 medium Cold Brew if they order ahead, pay with an enrolled Dunkin’ card or scan a loyalty card at checkout through April 26. Shell Fuel Rewards members can also save 30 cents per gallon at Shell stations after their fifth beverage purchase with linked DD Perks and Fuel Rewards accounts through May 12.

Firehouse Subs – Get a free medium sub with the purchase of an additional medium or large sub, chips and a drink along with a coupon. Print or download your Tax Day coupon at FirehouseSubs.com/TaxDay.

Great American Cookies – Get a free chocolate chip cookie with any purchase at participating locations Monday, both in person and online, with Tax Day code “TAX.”

hooters – Kids under 12 (dependents!) get a free Hooters kids meal at participating locations with an adult’s purchase of $15 or more.

KFC – Get a free Chicken Sandwich now through June 5 when you purchase $12 or more online or through the KFC app. Limit one free sandwich per day, per account, at participating locations.

McDonald’s – Several daily offers are available through the MyMcDonald’s Rewards program. New customers can get a free Big Mac for registering on McDonald’s website; after their first purchase you can get a free order of Hash Browns, Vanilla Cone, McChicken or a Cheeseburger.

Office Depot & OfficeMax – Free paper shredding through April 23. Get up to 5 pounds of documents shredded in stores with a coupon at Officedepot.com/shredding. Show the coupon to a cashier to redeem.

PlanetFitness – According to USA Today, the gym chain is giving members and non-members the chance to “de-stress and relax with a free workout and HydroMassage at any of its more than 2,200 locations nationwide.” Get your coupon at PlanetFitness.com/Hydro.

smokey-bones – All new and existing loyalty club members can get $10 off any $25 dine-in or online order with an email coupon. To sign up for the Bones Club, visit Smokeybones.com/bones-club.

subway – Get 15% off any footlong sub when ordering online or in the chain’s app with code 15OFF.

Wendy’s – Special deals include a free six-piece chicken nugget when using in-app delivery through April 30; free large fries when you spend a minimum of $10 on mobile; or buy one premium chicken sandwich or burger and get the second for $1 with a mobile offer.

Other companies offering Tax Day deals include Papa Gino’s, Perdue Farms, Potbelly Sandwich Shops, and White Castle. Even Southwest Airlines is offering 1,000 Rapid Rewards points for those who file with TurboTax.
