Hilton’s Luxury Conrad Brand Comes to Italy : Business Traveler USA

The 107-room Conrad Chia Laguna hotel overlooks Chia Bay on the island of Sardinia

Hilton’s luxury Conrad Hotels and Resorts brand has made its debut in Italy with the opening of the Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia. The 107-room hotel reflags an existing property located between Monte Cogoni and Dune di Campana beaches, and overlooking Chia Bay.

The hotel, which has undergone renovation to bring it in line with the Conrad offering, features guest rooms split into two areas for families and couples, with dedicated swimming pools for each area.

The hotel’s lobby includes elements of Sardinian culture, including wall coverings of traditional Sardinian fabrics, and furniture decorated with ropes, representing the destination’s nautical roots.

Food and beverage offerings include two restaurants – La Terrazza serving Mediterranean and international dishes, and Sa Mesa offering “local specialties with a contemporary twist.” The Conrad Spa offers a rooftop solarium.

The rebranding follows the similar addition of the Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia under Hilton’s Curio portfolio last year, as part of an agreement with the Italian Hospitality Collection.

“Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia is a stunning addition to our luxury portfolio in Europe – and Hilton’s third hotel on the island,” commented Simon Vincent, Hilton’s executive vice president and president, EMEA.

“With more than ten new hotels poised to join our Italian portfolio this year in locations including Rome, Padua and Venice, we continue to see considerable growth momentum in Italy, demonstrating the strength and resilience of Hilton’s brands in a dynamic market.”

Hilton currently operates over 40 Conrad properties across five continents, including the recently opened Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya and the brand’s largest property in Asia, the Conrad Shanghai. Upcoming openings include the Conrad Los Angeles set for a June premiere.
