Recognizing the need for an easy-to-swallow solution for those who have difficulty swallowing supplements, Tishcon Corp. recently developed Freedom ETS Softgels®. According to a recent study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, Patients aged 65 and older are more likely to have problems swallowing dietary supplements and vitamins. Older adults may be more likely to choke on pills, especially when they are large. The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention collaborated on the study, and their researchers reported that nutritional supplements are used by up to 35% of older adults, and that they have higher rates of swallowing issues than younger persons. Among the study’s findings was the recommendation that older adults should avoid extra-large pills or capsules.
To meet the growing need for an easy-to-swallow solution for supplements and vitamins, Tishcon Corp. has introduced ETS Softgels®. Their size, shape, and unique softgel composition make them exceptionally easy to swallow for older patients, very young patients, and anyone who has difficulty swallowing.
Tishcon Corp. is making STD Softgels® available to all
supplement and vitamin manufacturers, because an easy-to-swallow capsule will benefit millions of older adults, children, and those with swallowing issues.
In addition to introducing STD Softgel® Tishcon Corp. has expanded formula delivery options to include chewable tablets and gummies in popular flavors, for products where a chewable is preferred.
To meet the growing markets for special dietary requirements, Tishcon Corp. now offers formulas that meet the criteria for organic, vegan, kosher, herbal, all-natural, soy-free, non-GMO, halal and gluten-free formulations.
“The Tishcon Corp. philosophy has always been to give team members the tools and knowledge that will enable them to reach their full potential both in the company and in their careers,” says Chopra. “Team members’ growth has fueled the growth of the company, from a small start-up to a major producer with multiple manufacturing and R&D facilities.
According to Chopra, the company has recently seen the need to offer a complete turn-key product development capability to its contract manufacturing clients. “We’ve seen that some clients have a unique, viable concept for a supplement, but lack the full range of capabilities to turn the concept into a retail reality. As a result, we have begun to offer market-ready programs for natural products, nutritional supplements, nutraceuticals, and vitamins.”
In addition to offering the contract manufacturing capabilities for natural products, nutritional supplements, nutraceuticals, and vitamins, Tishcon Corp. provides full-service marketing, packaging, and brand development services for contract manufacturing customers. Whether a client is looking for help in developing a new brand or getting an existing brand to market, Tishcon Corp. can deliver market-ready programs. Adds Chopra, “We can now provide virtually everything needed to launch a client’s brand and product concept.”
As Tishcon Corp. has expanded its offerings, the company’s management has never lost sight of the fact that nutritional supplements, natural products, nutraceuticals, and vitamins can help create a better world. It is this view that spurs the company to continually look for new products that address needs that are not currently being met by Pharma or the natural products, nutritional supplements, nutraceuticals, and vitamin industries.
“We are in the business of improving the quality of life,” says Chopra. “Consumers who choose our product deserve and expect the highest purity ingredients, effective formulations, and to know that what is on the label is in fact in the product. That is what we work to ensure every day.”
