Lobster or Spaghetti Flavored Ice Cream Among Most Creative

The National Day Calendar claims July 1 is Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day and lists some interesting concoctions among the most creative.

They list some “Weirdly creative ice cream flavors from around the world.” #CreativeIceCreamFlavorsDay

The United States flavor listed is Lobster. Others include:

  • Spaghetti for Germany
  • Chicken Wing- Tokyo
  • Charcoal- India
  • Black Sesame- Canada
  • Blue Cheese- Finland
  • Fish & Chips – Australia

I’m sure you can come up with some ideas. I scratched my bald head and thought of a couple then looked and saw they are actually used ice cream flavors. What do you think about these?

  • buttered popcorn
  • dr pepper
  • lemonade
  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch
  • blueberry cheesecake
  • avocado
  • Green Tea
  • Banana
  • Mango
  • peach
  • Almond Joy
  • Milky Way
  • Butterfinger
  • smores
  • peanut butter
  • Butter Brickle
  • Pumpkin
  • watermelon

I don’t know if these are actually ice cream flavors yet but you can’t go wrong with:

  • bacon
  • Steak (the juicier the better)
  • Carrot (my favorite vegetable)
  • Corn on the Cob (I think this was tried anyway, I remember having some)
  • walleye

It’s fun to come up with some ideas. I would love to hear suggestions from you.

It probably would not surprise you that the two most popular flavors in the United States (based on sales) are Vanilla and Chocolate in that order. The same is true worldwide.

In 2021 Ice Cream sales globally reached 68 billion dollars.

Growing up the son of a Dairy owner we were lucky to have ice cream often.

Usually Dad would bring home Vanilla and we had Hershey’s Chocolate, Caramel, Strawberry Syrups to use if we wanted.

Personally I rank Strawberry and Chocolate Chip among my favorite flavors.

There is no right or wrong answer here because we all have different tastes. It’s the beauty of what makes the world go around.

Did you know that “You scream. I scream. We all scream for ice cream,” came from a song. It was written by Howard Johnson, Billy Moll and Robert A. King, published in 1927.

If you are a foodie and a theater buff you will enjoy this.
